LOWER HUTT LADIES' MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB
The second o£ the series 'of .^soo'' afternoons was held in the*Seout Hfdl on Thursday last there ■being a; large ti umber of '■ ladies present. Mrs. Telfer won the first prized (a pair of crystal vases);; and Mrs. Murray; won th<} second prize (a Pelican milk jug).A very enjoyable afternoon tea was provided by the ladies oi the Club.
. Mrs. 3>pnkin, Cliib Captain, gave a brief account of the elu-b's activities and congratulated Mrs Cavaye (a member of the club) on winning the, New Zealand Ladies' Cdiampionship. Beference was also made to the club gaining >seeondp]ace in the New JSealancl •Ladies''^ Chaxopionship match; they were only def en.ted by two: points. Mrs. Donfciit;thanked the ladies' present.-for tlieir support and again reminded: that tKe club proposer! to coritirive'-the afternoon; every Thursjilay aftcriwon fortnight.
