CORRESPONDENCE.

TO TUB EDITOR. Sin, —■ I would through your paper draw the attention of those in power to the great nuisance caused by the halfstarved (tows and calves constantly to be found on the roads and in the gardens of many of the residences. Barbed wire is no stoppage—they are so hardened by want of food they do not mind a few scratches if they get a chance to till their bellies. I wonder the owners are not ashamed to live and get fat on the produce of a few half-starved animals that exist on the food got from their neighbors' gardens. Those who live by the cows' milk should be able to keep them properly. How far has milk to do with the fever that exists in this district and no inspector to call occasionally ?—Yours &c, A Resident.
