WOMEN’S HOCKEY TEST.
NEW ZEALAND BEATS FIJI BY FOUR GOALS. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The women’s hockey test between New Zealand and the Fiji team wms played yesterday and it resulted m a win for New Zealand by four goals tu nil. New' Zealand had a definite tend lorial advantage throughout the game but stout, defence prevented them 1 rom scoring until late in the first haJ, the half-time score being one-nil. Hotn teams brightened considerably in the second half, but alter about ten minutes’ play New Zealand became definitely superior and consistent attaching gave them three goals in quick succession.

BLOMFIELD BEATS WOODS
(By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night.
In a professional wrestling contest “Lofty” Blomlield (Auckland), Kist Gib, beat Joe Woods (Ameiica), lust -lib. Woods obtained the lirst 1 all in the fourth round, picking the Aucklander up for a slam and body press. The match ended in the seventh round when Blomlield caught his opponent in an octopus clamp. Woods resisted for some time before submitting and he was then unable to resume when the next gong sounded. The match was fast, and entertaining.
McCEEADY DRAWS WITH KRUSE
DUNEDIN. Last Night
In a willing encounter Earl Mc(Jreadv and Bob Kruse wrestled a draw here on Saturday night. Kruse secured a fall in the fifth round and McCrcady equalised 111 the seventh. The crowd showed strong disapproval of the methods adopted by Kruse and the decision met with what is commonly Known as a “ mixed reception. Dis mhih' time since a fall was previously taken from McCrcady. BOESCH BEATS RUSSELL. HREY-MOUTH, East Night. Wrestling before a record crowd in the Town Hall on Saturday night Raul Boesch and Bob Russell provided thrilling entertainment with a senes of rough house tactics. The bout ended in the sixth round when Russell had a penalty lull awarded against him due to his failure to desist from applying the stranglehold Bach had previously secured a fall, Russell with a senes ol dumps and Boesch with a body press following a series of drop kicks.
