FEILDING STOCK SALE.
PRICES REMAIN STEADY Good entries of mixed quality stock came forward for the weekly sale at Feilding yesterday when values generally remained steady with little variation of those ruling last week. In the fat sheep section there was a good offering .of mixed quality lambs and a short supply of wethers and owes. Fair conditioned and unfinished lambs wore down on current quotations.
There was a firm inquiry for the inlamb ewe and prices were in accordance with the quality. The best of the wether lambs sold readily at values fully on a par with late rates.
The beef section contained a mixed offering of mostly cows and heifers and prices were on a par with current quotations. '‘Potter” cows made up the bulk of the store cattle offering and these continue to command good values. Two lines or young run cattle changed hands at late rates.
A fair number of low conditioned cows and heifers came forward in the dairy section and anything of quality commanded linn rates with the inquiry unsatisfied.
