Miss S. Phillips has returned to her home from a holiday in the north.

Messrs A. and G. Cook are iudisjposed and will be unable to turn out for Hui Mai this week.

, Frosts have been exceptionally severe of late and many of the residents who ( rely on rain water are complaining of shortage.

The local school boys met Ohau here on Fridav and won to the tune of 30 points to nil. This was Ohau’s first defeat. For Manakau Cook, Leen, Reahana and Wallace were outstanding. .Mr A. Cook was referee. So far this (season the boys have scored 139 points to 9, quite a remarkable performance.
