Flight-Lieutenant Rose arrived at 6 p.m., London time, beating Amy Mollison’s record by 13 hours 18 minutes. Rose’s arrival at Salisbury has allayed anxiety as he was many hours •overdue there. He had earlier missed ♦Salisbury owing to a rainstorm and ■was forced to land 70 miles away.
