While Lunch divided his attentions between attempts to secure a fall and to removf the mask, his opponent concentrated on the former which ho secured with a short-arm scissors in the second round. In the fourth round Lurich obtained a fall with a body scissors and immediately afterwards he tore the mask from the ghost's face. The ghost thereupon refused to continue and the contest was awarded to Lurich.
