Boots for the Unemployed ORDERS PLACED FOR

WELLINGTON QUOTA. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Arrangements have been made in Wellington for the manufacture of working boots for the unemployed. It is understood the order involves 7500 . pairs, the bulk of which are to be ready for delivery by the end of June. By that time it is understood orders will be placed throughout the Dominion to « the extent of 20,00 pairs. Mr. W. Bromley, who is busy arranging for their distribution, stated to-day that he had completed his interviews with manufacturers in the four main centres and they had assured him that the orders would mean plumbing the market for raw material and skilled labour. Retailers and others were satisfied that this market was additional to the ordinary market.
