Chiropractor Charged With Manslaughter

REMARKS BY JUDGE NAPIER., Last Night. ' ‘People can be made to believe they are getting better, and this , helps them to get better,” said Mr Justice Ostler in the Supreme Court this morning in the charge to the Grand Jury when referring to a, charge of manslaughter against a chiropractor named John Robert Victor Hart. “It may be that this is the cause of the success of chiropractic,' ’ he said. “I should be very surprised to hear that by making adjustments on the spinal column any chiropractor can effect a cure of such diseases as typhoid or pneumonia.” A true bill was returned.
