Singing a solo before the King and <Queen at the Jubilee concert of the Royal College' of Music, Elisabeth .Aveling, a well-known soprano, began ito sway. Her voice quavered and she ■collapsed in 'a faint. She was carried from the platform, itheir Majesties leading the sympathetic applause. Miss Aveling pluekily returned, supported by two members of the choir, jand finished her solo.
