A COMING EMPIRE INDUSTRY,

SYDNEY, Feb. 23

Among those who arrived by the Ulimaroa to-day was Mr J. Harrington. He (paid a tribute to New Zealand tobacco leaf and said it was one of the coming industries of the Empire, likely seriously to compete with Virginia leaf. “I am smoking it,” he said. “It is the coolest smoke I have had for nearly 50 years. I understand it is being largely used in New South Wales tobacco factories.”
