government, MAKES CHANGES. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Important changes in the administration of the Government’s unemployment policy were announced to-night. It has been decided that the labour and immigration departments, together with the administrative functions of the Unemployment Board, will be amalgamated under one permanent head. This position will be filled by Mi, G. C. Godfrey, at present under-secretary cf Marine. In addition, Mr. Godfrey becomes Commissioner of Unemployment, succeeding Mr. Malcolm Fraser, Who is to become an associate member of the board.
