CHINESE AIRMEN TAKE OATHS. (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) SHANGHAI, Feb. 7. Twenty-six Chinese aeroplanes have arrived to combat the Japanese bombers. The pilots were trained in England, America, France and Germany. They have made their wills and sworn to fight to the death. The Nanking Ministry of War has decided to utilise the aeroplanes against the Japanese. • The Mayor of Greater Shanghai has informed the British ConsulGeneral that, bombers would not be used over tbe city and every care would be taken not to imperil foreigners within the Settlements.
