Won by a head, half a head between second and third. Time, 1.41 3-5. Autumn Sun and Primax soon opened up a gap on the field and they entered the straight in command. Here Malahat and Valsier put in a challenge. The last-named fell back, finding the pace too hot, but Malahat joined the leaders and a great race ensued over the last fifty yards, Autumn Sun winning by a head from Malahat with Primax half a head back
