The Egmont Racing Club’s Jubilee meeting concluded in fine weather before a moderate attendance. The track was in ideal condition. The totalisator handled £555-1 as compared with £9852 for the second day last year. The total for the two days was £11,698 as compared with £20,128 10s, Results:— TONES STAKES, of 120 govs.; one mile.

Shrewd got clear at the distance but Silvermine came again in a good finish to get the decision by a short head, with a gap of two lengths to Rory Mor. Chopin was fourth. 3 GOLD DAWN, 7.6 (McDowell) .. 3 The only starters. Orapai and Gold Dawn disputed the leadership till half way down the straight when Awaken came up smartly and won comfortably iby a length and a half, Gold Dawn being a length back. Time, 1.13-1. INAHA HACK HANDICAP, of 80 sovs.; 81 furlongs.

Biflex, Joyspcar and Bon Eve were successive leaders to the half mile where Bon Eve was piloting Attentive and Constant Sun clear of the remainder. Attentive took the van at the home turn, Bon Eve, Attentive and Constant Sun being practically in line over the concluding dash, Bon Eve staving off Attentive by half a neck, Constant Sun being a short head away and Joyspear fourth.
