America’s Two Billion Dollar Finance Fund

GENERAL DAWES HEAD OF CORPORATION. WASHINGTON, Feb. 2. The board of directors of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, which will make loans up to the amount ol two billion dollars to banks, railways, financial corporations and agricultural agencies, organised yesterday, electing General Dawes as president and Eugene Meyer, governor of the Federal Reserve Board, as chairman. Consideration of applications for loans which already total about a hundred million dollars, will be taken up to-day.
