TENNIS.
THE NEW SEASON.
From all indications the tennis season 1931-32 will ibe a very live one in Levin. Besides the Levin club, there are five other strong organisations with their own courts, in the town, not to speak of those in the country settlements, St. Joseph’s and Weraroa have already opened their season. The Levin Club’s new 'pavilion, for which Mr G. France is the contractor is rapidly approaching completion. It will be of handsome appearance, comfortable in its appointments, and an asset to' the general appearance of the Park Domain, on which the courts are situated. A start has v been made with the erection of the Caledonian club’s pavilion, in Stuckey Street, the project being carried out by voluntary labour. This club is also having a second court laid down, the contract for which has been let to Mr H. Channings, jun. The Wesley Club will hold its annual meeting on Monday evening. One court has been top-dressed, and the outlook for the season is promising.
