On the motion of Mr William Ma■chin (New Zealand), the Chambers of 'Commerce Conference reiterated the conviction that wide and woll-consid-•eretd Extension of Imperial preference would realise greater inter-imperial ■economic cohesion, and the Conference urged the importance of voluntary corporation, of inter-imperial mergers in trade arrangements, the promotion ■o£ scientific research, and the interchange of business ideas. •
