BOTH PAIRS IN DOUBLES SEMI-
FINALS.

Playing in the French tennis championships, Willard and Hopnian, the Australians, met the Ehglish Davis Cup players. The score was two sets all, and six games' all. In the final set, when rain stopped play, hundreds stormed the box office, demanding their money back. They were pacified by a promiste 'of uc kets for next day and the re-playing of the fifth sot. i ■
However, it was subsequently do cided to' play the fifth set in the afternoon.
Hopman and Willard beat Gregory and Collins, 3—6, 6—2, 4 —6, 6—2 10—8.
The general verdict was that it was the best match seen for years.
TILDEN AND COEN OUTED.
Received Sunday, 9 p.m. PARIS, A lay 24. doubles, Crawford (Australia) and Mile. Sigart beat Collins (England) and Joan Fry (England), 6—4, B—6.8 —6.
In the fourth round of the men's doubles, Borotra and De Buzelqt (France) beat Tilden and Coen (U.S.A.) 6—2, B—lo, 5—7, 6—3, 7—5, and meet Hopman and Willard (Australia) in the semi-final.
Cochet and Bnignon beat Harada and Abe, 4 —6, 6—3, 7—5, 6 —4, and meet Crawford and Moon (Australiaj in the semi-finals.
