Manawhenua will play its first representative fixture of the season against the touring British team at Palmerston North on Wednesday, and it is practically certain that there will be a big attendance from this district. The Uorowhenua players selected are M. Johnson (full back), W. Parata (half), T. Parata (wing forward), Satherloy and Tatana (forwards). The Manawatu three-quarters, Strange, ..Fletcher and Page should show up well on account of their speed. Special trains and excursion fares have been arranged.
