The Plunket Shield match between Wellington and Auckland was resumed in glorious weather to-day. Mills 20 and Anthony 13 continued Auckland’s second innings, to the bowling of Henderson, who opened from the southern end, and McGirr, bowling with the wind.

The batsmen started confidently, both scoring with well-placed shots. After ten minutes, Anthony reached 30 by cutting McGirr through the slips for four. In Henderson’s third over, Hollings dropped Anthony in the slips. Henderson’s fourth over was scoreless. Sixty appeared on the board after 20 minutes. Gallichan then relieved Henderson, whose analysis read; None for 23, off six overs. ‘At 11.30 the score was 71. j" The b/)wli.ng change had little effect on the scoring and the total mounted steadily.
