TRANSFER OF HOTEL VENUE REFUSED.

The Licensing Committee to-ady heard an application by Harry Burrows for the removal of the license of the Post Office Hotel, which was recently partly destroyed by fire and the site of which was acquired for a new theatre, to a site in King Street. The Chairman stated that the Committee considered the proposed site unsuitable, also that another hotel was not required in the neighbourhood. The application was refused.
