CROQUET CLUB.

On Tuesday last a match was played at Shannon- for the “Brighton Mallets. ”

Mesdames Nicholson and Hall, from the Levin Club, challenged the holders, Mesdames Swelling and Franks, of Shannon Club, and after a pleasant outing, Mesdames Nicholson and Hall brought the coveted “Mallets” to Levin, the game being 26—9. This is a game played without handicap. Next Tuesday morning Mesdames Garner and Dickie, from Palmerston, will play the winners on Levin lawn.
