GOVERNMENT PROPOSES £4 3/6 FOR AVERAGE FAMILY.

The State Government basic wage ■decision was announced by the Premier, Hon. Mr Bavin, in tho Assembly. He said it was proposed to adopt tfio standard of the average family, of a toh.n» wife and one child. He anticipated that the basic wage would be fixed at £4 3s fid, with an allowance ■ef 5s for each phild after the first.
