OWNER SIGHTS STOLEN MOTOR.
MAN AND TWO GIRLS HANDED OVER TO POLICE. AUCKLAND, Last Night. Air J. 8. .Freer, secretary of the Eden Chamber of Commerce, had left his car parked in the city at o o'clock yesterday afternoon near the corner of Queen and Victoria streets and a. h'w minutes later he returned to find it gone. Less than four and a-half hours later, Mr Freer, when bound for the city in a. friend's car, sighted his own and they gave chase. After an exciting pursuit, it was overtaken but the driver escaped, leaving behind another young m;in and two girls, who were 1 handed over to the police. i Mr Freer declares the speedometer showed the car had travelled 100 miles since three o'clock.
