A Cambridge telegram reports the death ot Mrs Maria Brown, of Fencourt, aged 96 years. She had been bedridden for seven years, but retained all her faculties until the last. Mrs Ann IVattan, a resident of Cambridge for fifty years, died yesterday in her 83rd year.

A pleasant little function took place at Muhunoa last night taking the form of a “parcel evening” tendered to Miss R. Death and Mr G. Procter, who are to be married shortly. A largo number of residents gathered at the Schoolroom, and a very enjoyable time was spent in dancing and other amusements. Miss Death was the recipient of many useful and valuable presents and numerous expressions of goodwill from those jiresent.
