A CITY STRICKEN.
ST. LOUIS IN A CYCLONE. <Bv Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright.) "'(Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 29. News from St. Louis states that the city :is almost isolated from outside -communication by a cyclone. Buildings were unroofed, trees torn up, and autot mobiles blown from the streets by a five-minute wind.which reached a maximum velocity of eighty miles an hour. .Many were injured in damaged schools .and factories, and two are known to be ' -dead. It is impossible yet to estimate 4he toll of damage. The hospitals were swamped by heavy T a-ain during the storm. . HEAVY DEATH-ROLL. .(By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright.)
