l MONTHLY MEETING OF COMMITTEE The Levin District High School j- Committee met on ’Monday night. , Present: The Rev. J. D. McArthur 3 (chairman), and Messrs Roe, Adams, 3 Malcolm, Procter, Bishop, Foster, - Lankshear and Kerslake. i The ‘Education Board wrote stating 1 the Board and Department were now - in conference upon the subject of the 3 new infant room, having the alternative tenders before them.—The sec ret ary stated he had rung up the ? Board office that afternoon and the - s Board secretary stated he expected a i reply from the Department any day. - —lt' was decided to write to Mr J. ; Linklater, M.P., asking him to interi view the Department on the subject. ’ A vote of thanks was passed to the } Melody Boys for assistance at a rei cent picture entertainment. i I An offer was received from the [ Rongotea Dramatic Society to give an : entertainment in aid of the School i funds, but the committee cont sidered that in view of the monthly i picture benefit and the expense of i bringing outside entertainers, the of- • fer should be respectfully declined. I Mr Adams reported that he had ar- ; ranged with the chairman of the ■ Otaki School Committee to send dele- ' gates to the Dental Conference and ; this could now be called together. Mr j Roe was appointed convener of the Levin Denial Committee, i It was reported that the net result j of the “Esther” performance was £8 I 14s and of the last picture benefit £2O. I Several routine matters were dealt • with and the meeting adjourned.
