THIRTY HOURS FROM BANE TO BANKI (Received This Hay, 9.50 a.m.) Sydney, January 31. The annual Council meeting of the Coal and Shale Employees’ Federation carried a no-confidenoe motion in the Ministry for failure to reinstate the strikers victimised in 1917. They also decided) to make the following demands on the New Zealand coal owners : Six hours’ shift from hank to bank, a fortnight’s holiday on full pay, and a five-day week.
