Delhi, January 29

The Duke of Connaught unveiled in the grounds of the Queen Victoria Memorial at Calcutta, a memorial to King Edward, erected by public subscriptions from tbe peoples of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa, and consisting of a marble arch, surmounted by a bronze equestrian statue. The balance of the large sum raised for the memorial will be used for medical relief in the two provinces. A great gathering listened to. the Duke of Connaught’s glowing tribute to the late King: Emperor.
