On .Saturday afternoon the Levin Oe! once lijfl c> Club fired the first competition i'or the .second series of trophic:-; kindly donated 'by Messrs W. Palmer ,n<! -T. W. Thompson. The c':!iipH'i!!r>:i ;..!i-'ts For the Ghtckin. Cup also. Conditions were seven shots and one optional sigh tor at 2(K) and 500 yards ranges. The day was fine with a {lull light, and a iairly strong wind blowing, which made windage allowances rather difficult to .judge at times, ami the shooting i'or such a day was very satisfactory.
