DURBAN, June 7.
A romantic meeting with an English girl visiting South Africa on holiday resulted in the engagement of Herbert Wade, the South African cricket cap.tain, to Irene Margaret Horton, nr Warwickshire. The couple met for the first time thice weeks ago. She will sail for home to-morrow. Miss Horton follows the hounds ir. Warwickshire, which la the original home of the Wade family.
