ONGAONGA DEBATE
Ffbm Our Own Correspondent ONGAONGA", dune 7. “That there is no solution of the problem of poverty” was the subject of a spirited debate by members of the Ongaonga Debating Club. Messrs E. 8. Bibby, M. Nicolaidi and R. Harris spoke for the affirmative and Messrs O. Bloomfield, C. Masters and P. Bradley for the negative. Mr Simpson acted as chairman. On a show of hands the affirmative were declared the winners. A pleasant half hour was then spent with ping-pong and other games, after which an enjoyable supper was handed round.
