Flying-Flea Challenge Trophy Race From Dur Own Correspondent. WAIPTTKUB.AU, June fi. The fame of New Zealand’s first registered “Flying Flea,” built in Waipukurau by the Hawke Aircraft Co., has spread as far afield as England. Messrs L Hawke and E. R. Perkins, of the Hawke Aircraft Co., Waipukurau, have received notice from the Ramsgate Airport Limited, England, of the first Inlernationa.l “Flying Flea” Challenge Trophy .Race, which is being flown over a circuit in the vicinity of the Ramsgate Airport, conditions permitting, at 3.30 p.m. on August 3. The organiser of this novel event has invited Messrs Hawke and Perkins to compete in this race, but in view of the fact that the first prize '» only £lOO and a challenge trophy it is I hardly expected that Messrs Hawke and Perkins will make such a trip. 83 rd BIRTHDAY HONOR I ED.
