Mr E. Cullen, M.P., will not be returning home this week-end owing to Parliament sitting.
Constable F. A. Drew, of Auckland, has taken up duty as a member of the Hastings Police Force.
Captain Irvine G. Glennie, H.N., has been appointed honorary naval aide-de-camp to the Governor-General, Viscount Galway.
Mr W. Leitz, a member of the staff of H.B. Newspapers Ltd., who is leaving soon to take up a position at Taihape, was met by his fellow-workers last night, when farewells were said and a presentation made. Mr Hector Cameron voiced the regret of all that Mr Leitz had decided to resign and wished him well in his future position. Colonel Albert Orsborn, who has OC copied the position of chief secretary of the Salvation Army in New Zealand for the past four years, has received orders from General Evangeline Booth to leave the Dominion. He has been appointed territorial commander for Scotland end Ireland, and with Mrs Grsboru and the family will be leaving New Zealand some time in July.
