GIFT EVENING

For Bride-to-Be 'llio Misses N. Hill and M. Downing were hostesses at a very enjoyable gilt evening last week for Miss Lorna Bickley, who is shortly to be married. The hours were whiled away with dancing, games and competitions, the latter being won by Misses G. Jenkins, G. Symes, D. Howard and Messrs E. Apsey and I. Rosenberg. The Monto Carlo waltz was won by Miss M. Bateman and Mr B. Slorlev. During the evening a delicious, supper was served, after which the guest of honour was celled upon to open her numerous parcels, which revealed many uselul gifts for the future home ami testified to her popularity. Miss Bickley, in a lew words, thanked ali those present. The guest of honour looked attractive in a dainty green floral frock. Miss N. Hill wore a green matalesse frock and Miss M.
