Southland Approves By Telegraph—Press Associatios INVERCARGILL, May 31. The principle of a levy on wool for propaganda and research purposes, pro vided it was definitely understood that the fund should be directed mainly to propaganda, was approved yesterday by the provincial conference of the Far mers’ Union. The conference discussed suggested methods of applying the levyend decided to recommend that the charge be levied on a weight basis and that it should be limited to ?d per lOOib.; that each pound be subsidised by the Government; and that growers should have the chief voice in the selection of the governing committee.
