£10,000 FOR AIR RACE
London To Johannesburg MILLIONAIRE’S DONATION (Ileceivcd 1, 9.30 a.m.) 10NU0N, May 31. Air Schlesinger, a South African millionaire, has donated a £10,030 prize lor a London to-Johannesburg air race iu connection with the Johannesburg Exhibition, the race to be confined to Empire pilots and aircraft, and the organisation to be under the Hoyal Aero Club. Mr Schlesinger says: “1 want Io sea the people of South Africa nirminded. South Al-ica is now one of the most prosperous members of the British Commonwealth of Nations She is unprotected and is open to any tir attack. ”
