LIQUOR AFTER HOURS

Three People Fined in Napier Three people were fined by Mr J. Miller, S.M., in the Napier Magistrates ’ouit this morning for breaches of the law regarding the dosing of hotels. The Caledonian Hotel was the one involved, and George A. Graham, the licensee, and James McCallum, a barman, were fined £1 and £2 respectively for selling and supplying liquor after hours. N. Chrietofferson, a labourer. of Bay View, was fined £2 with JO/- costs for being on licensed premises altei hours. Mr Humphries, who appeared for the first two defendants, stated that the olfeiice had occurred because of the barman mistaking Cbristoiferson for a boarder. Senior-sergeant H. C. D. Wade conducted the prosecution.
