There was au unusually short list confronting Mr. J. Miller, S.M., when he took his scut at the Hastings Magistrate’s Court this morning. There were no police cases, only one defended civil case that was of little public interest, and an undefended civil action in which judgment by default was given Maki Wairoa against G. A. Kura for £2l 6/ and costs £4 11/(1. Not for some time has tbe list been so brief.
