MASQUERADERS’ DANCE

Season Opened at Havelock The Masqueraders’ Club, Havelock North, which has the reputation of giving very jolly dances, opened this season in tlio Town Board Hall last evening, when quite a number of young folk were present. The committe responsible for the excellent arrangements were the Misses Margaret May, Ada Fergusson, Molly Treneman and C. Brooks. Messrs. E. Fergusson, P. Graham, S. Duke and J. Unwin. The ladies’ committee, which helped in no small measure with its assistance at supper, comprised Mesdames F. W. Fergusson. V. May and J. B. Duke. Music for the dancing was played by Les Henry’s orchestra, and the Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr. and Mrs. R. Patterson. Mr. E. J. Wall made a very efficient M.C. during the evening. Renouf. blue taffeta, wrrn with a silver shoulder cape. Miss J. Renouf, blue floral crepe de chine. Miss J. Sullivan, black taffeta gown. Miss Simon, pink taffeta evening frock. Miss J. Brittin, red crepe de chine frock. Miss M. Brittin, gown of green needlerun lace. Mi.ss Saunders, black skirt worn within gold tunic. Miss P. Buck, red and green figured crepe suede frock. Mrs. F. Frost, red marocain gown. Miss E. Greening, cream lace worn over green silk. Miss Nancy Crawford, pink taffeta worn with a velvet cape. Miss Robson, white needlerun lace. Miss S. Bxise. pink crepe guede. -Miss Hetty Ross, checked taffeta frock. Miss M. Tunnicliffe, blue marocain. Miss I. Leicester, pink net over pink taffeta. Miss Joan Leicester, blue paune velvet frock with silver girdle. Miss Jean Joll, deep apricot crepe romaine. Miss A. Sanson, green marocain having white flowers at the neck. Nliss V. Dew, pineapple velvet frock. Miss P. Sanderson, gown of red organdie with a collar of red and white. Miss U. Loach, checked taffeta in shades of red. Miss Joyce Apsey, duck-egg blue needlerun lace.
