MAU FLOUTS LAW

Orderly Parade Held APIA, May 5. On Monday afternoon 200 members of the Palauli Mau, headed by Autagavai and a brass band, with Mau flags flying and 100 wearing Mau lavalavas, marched through Apia to Ap.. village for sivas and a sort of taalol-i (dance). All laws restricting Mau activities were ignored. The parade was very orderly and no police action was taken. On account of measles at Upolu, passenger contact with Savaii was stopped and other quarantine restrictions instituted by the Medical Department. The Mau are inclined to disregard the restrictions.
