TENNIS TOURNAMENT

During the week-end, a Yankee tournament was held on the court of the Karamu Tennis Club, and many members of the club took part, as well as members from the lleretaunga and Skyrocket Clubs. The day was ideal, anil many interesting games were placed, many of which were played to a one-point win. In the final game, in which Mrs. McGrath and J. Simmon* son played Miss I. Ware and I). Southon, many exciting shots were played, and the result at the end of play was 15—14 in favour of Miss Ware and Southon

Before presenting the prizes to the winners, Mr. J. McGrath thanked all the members for making it such a success, and expressed the club’s pleasure at having members of other clubs playing. Hearty applause was accord, cd the winners.
