UNPOPULAR BOUT
Stopped Early by Foul Blow By Telegraph—Press Association. BLENHEIM, March 28. An unpopular local boxing record was established when the scheduled ten-rounds bout between Clarrie Rayner (Blenheim) and Ginger Wade (Nelson) lasted under 20 seconds. Wade being disqualified for hitting low. At catch weights the bout started promisingly. Rayner scored smartly, but Wade’s first punch to land was a left rip in the forbidden area, and Rayner was incapacitated.
