OBITUARY
Mrs. Mary Faulkner
One of the earliest New Zealand-born women, Mrs. Mary Faulkner, died at Hawera a few days ago at the age of 91 years. For several years Mrs. Faulkner resided at Hawera with her husband, Mr. Harry Faulkner. Mrs. Faulkner, who was born at Richmond, Nelson, was a daughter of the Rev. A. Hammond, who for many years in the early days of New Zealand’s establishment as a British colony was engaged in Methodist missionary work among the Maoris,
