Departure of President The February meeting of the Sherenden Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was field on Thursday atternoon at “Otamauri.” Mrs. Bayley presiding over an excellent attendance of members. Jt was announced that Miss Macmillan would probably be at the next meeting. Another address by this very able lecturer will be eagerly looked forward to. Mrs. Sanderson wrote thanking members for their parting gilt to her. It was with feelings ot the deepest regret that members learnt of Mrs. Bayley's early departure from the district as “Otamauri,” the scene of so many happy meetings, had been sold. Mrs. 11. Beamish presented Mrs. Bayley with a crystal vase as a small token of esteem from members and Mrs. G. Mason wished her every happiness in her new home, saying how much she would be missed by the division, having been its president for three years. Mis. Bayley feelingly thanked members for their gilt and good wishes. Competitions and tennis were enjoyed ami a delicious afternoon tea served on the verandah. After singing “For She's a Jolly Good Fellow” and cheering Mrs. Bayley heartily, members reluctantly said “good-bye.”
