For the intermediate diving championship each competitor must execute four compulsory and two optional dives. The compulsory dives will be a half-screw forward running and a back dive, both off the low board, a running plain and a back somersault, both off the second board, There will be one optional uive off each board.

Swimmers are requested to wear regulation costumes with the club’s star HERETAUNGA CLUB Meeting of Executive At last night's meeting of the Heretaunga Swimming Club executive a good attendance was presided over by Mr L. J. Fisher. The programme for next Friday was approved as follows:— Novice boys’ 50 yards, girls’ 50 yards, women's 50 yards, club handicap 220 vards, second distance Campbell Cup boys’ 100 yards, B gade handicap 50 yards, club senior championship 50 yards, open and B. grade diving, teams The secretary was instructed to confirm with Te Awa the date, next Friday, for the visit of its polo team. It was decided to hold on Wednes- !■ y night the final of the Armstrong Ci n. 110 yards, together with the campbell Cup (boys), 150 yards. Transport to the Hawkes Bay proriuoial championships arranged, it

being left to Mr H. McKerrall to arrange for a special bus to leave the stand each evening at 6.45. In order to ensure that competitors are present lor the heats in the afternoon arrangements for their transport by car were made. The team selected for the championships was approved. Final arrangements relative to the Ferguson Cup inter-ciub carnival on Wednesday week were made. Admission charges were fixed at 1/- for adults and 6d tor children, and it was further decided to make reserves available at an additional cost of 3<l the box plan being at Mr H. B. I’opefwell’s.

The selector advised that the team to represent Heretaunga m the Ferguson Cup contest would be announced on Friday. The secretary’s action in sending a telegram of congratulations to 11. Watkins on his success in the national mile was endorsed. HAVELOCK NORTH CARNIVAL To-morrow’s Handicaps The Havelock Swimming Club has spared no effort to make to-morrow nights club carnival the best yet submitted to patrons this season.
