Austrian Schutzbund Leader STARTED THE LINZ FIGHTING (Received 4. 10.40 a.tn.) VIENNA, April 3. Bernaschek, leader of the Socialist Schutzbund, who allegedly ordered the firing against the police at Linz which started the fighting in February, has escaped from prison with three other Socialists and two Nazis.
