Members of the Waipawa branch of the St. John’s Ambulance Association were in attendance at the Tikokino spurts. Tbcir assistance was required on only one occasion, for a slight injury, but their presence was greatly appreciated and the club is indebted ta the branch. PIGEON RACING. Tin Waipukurau Homing Pigeon Club’s race during the holidays was flown from Otaki. an airline distance of 91 miles. Results were as follow:— Mr C. Wood’s Unexpected (1020 yards tier minute) 1. Mr C. The representatives of two members were not clocked. PERSONAL. Mr and Mrs B. M. Dallas, of Dun ■ dm, were visitors to Central Hawke’s Lav during the Easter holidays and were the guests of Mr T. J. Dallas. Wflipawa. Mr and Mrs Dallas left by ear on Sunday for Gisborne, wlcre Mr Dallas has taken over Mr Palairct's dental practice. Mis» O’Donoghue, of Palmerston North, is visiting Waipukurau and is thu guest of Mrs C. Murphy. BIBLE CLASS CAMP. lhe members of tile Presbyterian Bible classes in camp at Waipukurau lor the Easter vacation held a combined sports meeting at Russell Park, today. The weather, though dull and threatening m the morning, was fine later in the day and enabled the programme of events to be run off successfully.
