(From Our Own Correspondent) To-morrow evening in the Greenmeadows side school the commencement of the aggregate series of 500 will take place in aid of the school funds. As the school committee have very little funds to carry on the school work, owing mainly to the withdrawal of subsidies, etc. It is hoped that the parents and friends will rally round the committee and give them all the support they can in this worthy object. The rooms are well heated, so that patrons will be able to have a comfortable and enjoyable evening. A very enjoyable dance was held in All Saints’ schoolroom last evening by the Greendale Basketball Club and was well attended. Mr F. Edgeley effieientlly performed tho duties of M.C. Mr Wally Girvan supplied the music, extras being played by Miss Tahu Tareha and Mr K. Hindman. A Monto Carlo dance was won by Miss G. Hindm*.n and Mr B. Ellis.
